Self-Esteem

Self-Esteem

Have you ever told this?
“You’re no good for anything”

Have you ever told yourself this?
"I’m ugly.”
“I’m no good at sports or in my school work.”

Perhaps you have even looked at yourself in the
mirror and wished that you were someone else?
Maybe a famous actor or sport hero? If you answer
yes, you’re in good company. Probably everyone who
has ever lived wished that they could change at least
one physical feature: their nose, their complexion,
their height, weight – something.

But beautiful people can be scarred in accidents.
Some wealthy people are very insecure, always
worried about losing their money or their possessions.
Jesus, the Son of God, was offered all the riches of
the world by Satan if only He would worship Satan.
Jesus answered: “Worship the Lord your God, and
serve Him only.”

Jesus, also the greatest teacher who ever lived,
Knows that Satan’s strategy is to keep our focus off
God and the importance of inward beauty and
character. He taught His disciples that blessings, true
happiness and lasting benefits are the result of
seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness.

If we rely on beauty, wealth, possessions, friendships
and other outward aspects of our life for our
self-worth, we may find temporary fulfillment and
happiness. But true, lasting worth can be
measured only in spiritual terms.

Letter to Jesus

"Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has give us."

Romans 5:3-5

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for everything You've done to my life in my ups and downs you are still there to carry me, You never leave me in times of trouble and trials, and I also thank for the blessings you rain in me and to my family and also for the friends you gave me so I can share or confessed my problems to them that I cant share to my parents, and without my friends in school who are devoted to you maybe I've been influenced by other students, so I am very thankful that I have friends like them who reminds me about You're love for us and twice a week we meet in a specific place to worship You and to pray also (our group name is JDM "Jesus Disciples Movement"), but now one of them or my close friend named Camia had stop schooling because of financial problems and also she is suffering from myoma a tumor that she occur in childhood and often become malignant, and she is really suffering from it even she's happy but still I can feel the pain inside of here, and I don't know how can I help here to lessen that pain but one thing I'm sure and I know that she knows it also is to pray and have faith to you because You gave a 100% comfort that nobody can in this world, and I know also how devoted Camia to you and I know also that this happened to her life is just a test that you gave to her and I know you have a better plans for Camia in the future.
